Jeannette Rankin Legacy Lecture

Join us for this free and informative event on November 20th at 2PM at the Richard B. Russell Jr. Special Collections Libraries Building at the University of Georgia.

Come hear esteemed Jeannette Rankin expert, Dr. Jennifer A. Jackson as she shares her lecture, “Remembering Rural Rankin: Feminism, Pacifism, and Rurality in Jeannette Rankin’s Identity.”

Following Dr. Jackson’s keynote, we will host a panel discussion on The Vote 2020. The panel will be moderated by Michele Ozumba, JRF Board Secretary and President of the Women’s College Coalition, and will feature Marshall Berton, President of UGA Votes; Courtney Davis, Founder of Oconee County Progressives; Deborah Gonzalez, Former Georgia State Representative; and Nse Ufot, Executive Director of the New Georgia Project. These panelists will bring their experience to the table as we discuss the importance of and challenges surrounding the 2020 Election.
